Tail of the Dragon...I've heard of this and seen some people get hurt on this road as well for overdoing a turn or lack of knowledge (some times more than this)... You drive it, much? I do say, I am going to set a time to go there and have a little sprint ; ofcourse this is when my foot is healed and more "mobile" as my parents put it... Although, I first need get another bike.

I was asked a really interesting question by someone who rides bikes the other day.
"Do you get more excitement with a sportbike or with sex?"
I was stumped, for I've only had "fun" with a sportbike and have yet to do the other.

there's wrecks all the time; been 3 deaths this year. it's a public road, so there's cars, trucks, even smaller semis, trucks pulling boats. and then you get motorcyclists and kids in tuner cars who treat it like a raceway.

it's gotten so popular that the police are in heavy presence during the wknds.

no, i don't ride it near enough. it's about 7 hrs from where i live. i'd love to live in that area, though.

Well, I live in NM; so yeah, I know how time can be (take a day or so to get there, most likely more)... The scenery itself is almost breathtaking, the ride on the other hand would be breathtaking.

Wow; that is an interesting photo and short story of why the parts are on the tree. Yes, background and so forth may not be the best for that shot but the tree does have interesting stories behind it.

i don't run from the cops. it just compounds any punishment...as well as being dangerous and stupid.

but, yes, there are guys there who have run, who do run. there was one guy in the parking lot with nitrous-charged v-max who had run several days before--but they got him eventually, recognizing his bike.

I have yet to try to be chased by a cop...

Ouch; I wonder how much the ticket was . I saw someone get "caught" who had police lights on his bike; showing off at the wrong time.

Beautiful shot, I envy you, I've yet to visit the Dragon. The most scenic view we have here is just above West Point.
